Bosch launches first jigsaw specifically designed for metal-cutting professionals to meet growing demand in China

Power tools pioneer Bosch continues its history of innovation in China, launching its first jigsaw specially designed for metal cutting professionals.

Since having invented the jigsaw in 1947, Bosch has continued to lead as an innovator of cutting-edge technologies tailored to improve the user experience. The new GST 25M Professional was developed to meet the growing demand from Professionals in Asia Pacific for quality metal-cutting tools for application on cars, walls, staircases, aluminium, metal boxes and more.

In addition to being the first Bosch jigsaw specifically designed for metal cutting professionals, the GST 25M Professional Jigsaw comes equipped with multiple features that make it unique and appealing: It has the fastest metal cutting speed in its class; it has an ergonomic design that allows it to be gripped comfortably and handled easily around curves; and it has an improved lifespan with the strengthened steel footplate and strengthened critical components such as the plunger.

The GST 25M Professional pairs up with Bosch’s revolutionary “Speed for Metal” T121AF blade, which boasts the longest blade life span among its competitors, altogether making this jigsaw the tool of choice for professional metal cutters.

Some of the unique features of the blade are its back taper design that simulates pendulum movement; a patented tooth geometry with aggressive teeth carved in straight back relief with large chip removal gullets and with rigid teeth for superior durability; and a thin kerf that increases the cutting speed. The blade is made of a laser-welded, bi-metal combination of HCS and HSS, which significantly increases its life span compared to blades made only with HSS metal.
